I shot my late 1970's chopped 16" 336 30-30 and my Savage 340 30-30 with Winchester 170 gr Power Points, Remington 170 gr Cre Lokt's and Hornady's 160 gr LE's. The range was 50 and 100 yards, both from a bench rest and in several field positions (kneeling, sitting, standing supported etc..).
